Procedure

mijterThe Order is a small Christian Masonic Order of intimate friends, who like to be together occasionally, all dedicated to the York Rite of Freemasonry, especially Templary. The Order is awarded to Knights Templar for devoted service in the past and in the hope that this devotion and loyalty will continue into the future.

The Order is governed by Grand College in York and has 251 Tabernacles on each continent of the World, including England, Scotland, Wales, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, South Africa, The Bahamas, The Netherlands, Germany, Jamaica, Singapore, Malaysia, Brazil, Spain, Togo, Bolivia and Ivory Coast.

During the ritual the candidate travels along seven pillars, formed in a triangle, in order to be installed as a Knight Priest. Once a year every installed Knight Priest can be advanced into the Order of Holy Wisdom. This happens during the Annual Meeting of the District on the 4th Saturday of April.

After the annual installation of a new elected High Priest of a Tabernacle the Grand Superintendent, or his representative, exercises the so called Grand Point. This very sacred moment is a very significant characteristic of the Order.
